Qualification :
A bachelors degree or equivalent from a university or discipline recognized
by any Indian university as being eligible for post-graduate studies. Those
candidates appearing for the final year exam can also apply. Applications
may be done in the final year of graduation.
Method Of Selection:
Selection is conducted on the basis of an All India Common Admission Test
(CAT) that is conducted jointly by IIM institutes. This is a ruling standard
test for testing logical, mathematical as well as analytical and linguistic
abilities.
Since 1988, the All India Management Aptitude Testing Service, based in New
Delhi conducts a periodic Management Aptitude Test (MAT) on a nation-wide
basis each year in May, September as well as December. The MAT exam is
approved by the The Government of India as being a a National Entrance Test
for admission to MBA and other equivalent programmes.
Institutes that offer post graduate programmes in management as well as
allied fields can participate in the MAT that is necessary for admission
into
- Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
- Post Graduate Diploma in (Information Technology & Management
(PGDITM) and equivalent programmes
These are offered by the All India Management Association (AIMA-CME) and
other management institutes.
