The English term 'Education' is derived from the Latin “educare”, which means among other things, 'to raise', & 'to train'. It is the very act of imparting & acquiring knowledge as well as the development of skills in reasoning and judgment.

Education is the process of developing the skills and knowledge required to prepare a person's mental faculties in order to face intellectual challenges of life. Education at its very core denotes the act of imparting as well as that of acquiring specific or general knowledge. This act deals with the nature & scope of knowledge.
